Science Olympics, a Science Week tradition, is an awesome relay race that will be held from 12–1 pm on Friday, February 1st at the Abdul Ladha Science Student Centre. Teams of 4 will hop, skip and jump their way to victory and fabulous prizes. Please let Sonia Purewal know if you will be representing CSSS and sending a team by Tuesday, January 29. We would love to have you! If you have any questions or would like more details please do not hesitate to contact Sonia.
If you’re graduating this December or April, make sure you get your graduation photos done! Graduation photos are being taken by Evangelos Photography. Evangelos will provide all necessary caps, hoods and gowns and will take a variety of poses from which you can choose your class composite. Please note that there are no fees or charges for this service. Also, note that if you wish, you can take photos with other studios but you MUST at minimum, take a single pose with Evangelos which will go into the composite photo.

The Computer Science Students’ Society presents a Licensed BBQ to celebrate the end of term! Come and chill with us one last time before exams and bask in the last of the autumn sunlight! We’ll have standard BBQ fare. Alcoholic beverages will be at hand although photo ID will be required - (sorry Eugene) :-(.
FoWCS will be holding its November luncheon this Friday, November 16th at noon. As usual, female graduate and undergraduate CS students are invited to come. We especially encourage 1st year undergrads to attend and network with other female students in the department. There will be light refreshments.
